Can we come to mediation to talk about vaccines?
COVID has been a difficult time for children. With all of the changes in their routines and schooling, it is unfortunate that many children have also been at the centre of conflicts between their parents.
One recent issue that has been emerging is whether children should be vaccinated. Some parents have come to different conclusions as to whether to vaccinate their children, arriving at an impasse.
Can you come to mediation to talk about vaccines? Yes. We will listen to each parent’s perspective and allow them the time and opportunity to express themselves. Will we oblige any parent to change their mind? No, this is beyond the role of a mediator.
Issues regarding vaccines are like any other medical treatment: if parents are unable to work through their differences in mediation, they may have to take the matter to court.
