Individual Intake Sessions

We need to meet you to see if Family Dispute Resolution is right for you.

We need to see whether Family Dispute Resolution is suitable for you. We will ask about the history of your relationship, any legal matters that have arisen, and the impact prior arrangements have had on your children. If there have been any intervention orders, we will need a copy before any joint sessions. We need to get to know your situation, who is involved, how your children are being affected and any safety concerns that might impact the service.

Things to take note of:

Children and conflict do not mix. We cannot provide services while children are present, including online services.

You don’t have to see a lawyer before any sessions. There are some issues where you might like to seek legal advice, but it is not necessary. If you feel unsure, you can call your lawyer or stop a session at any time.

You might like to bring any details you have of arrangements that need to be made. For instance, if there is a school concert coming up, or you would like to take your child on a holiday, it is helpful to have any details handy.
